1. Who we are

Altamont Group is a private institutional organisation spanning advisory, real assets, and private capital. Altamont Advisory is the institutional consulting practice of the Group. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information when you use our websites, submit enquiries, or otherwise engage with us. Controller contact: info@altamontgroup.ca.

2. Information we collect

We may collect:

  • Identity and contact data (name, organisation, role, work email, phone) when you email us or submit an enquiry.
  • Enquiry content (project context, RFP details, or other information you choose to provide).
  • Technical data (IP address, browser type, device, pages visited) via standard server logs and analytics.
  • Materials you send for evaluation of a potential engagement, which we treat as confidential.

3. How we use information

We use personal information only to:

  • Respond to enquiries and professional requests.
  • Route Properties or Capital enquiries appropriately within the Group.
  • Operate, secure, and improve our websites.
  • Comply with legal and professional obligations.
  • Maintain records of professional engagements where required.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use enquiry data for unrelated marketing without a lawful basis or your consent.

4. Legal bases

Where applicable (including under GDPR and similar frameworks), we process data on the basis of: legitimate interests in responding to professional enquiries and operating our organisation; performance of pre-contractual steps at your request; consent where you have given it; and legal obligation where required.

5. Sharing

We may share information with trusted processors who support email delivery, hosting, analytics, or file storage, under appropriate agreements. We may share with Altamont Group entities (including Altamont Advisory) where needed to respond to your request. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

6. International transfers

Altamont operates across multiple jurisdictions (including Canada, the United Arab Emirates, and other locations where we deliver work). Where data is transferred internationally, we take appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable law.

7. Retention

Enquiry materials are retained only as long as needed to respond and for reasonable professional record-keeping, then deleted or anonymised unless a longer period is required by law or an active engagement.

8. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure; we work to reduce risk and respond promptly to incidents.

9. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise rights, contact info@altamontgroup.ca. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority where applicable.

10. Cookies and analytics

Our sites may use essential cookies and limited analytics to understand usage and improve performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

11. Children

Our websites and services are directed to professional and institutional users. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
